A woman is in critical condition after her motorbike was involved in a collision with a car on a country road.

The crash happened on the B9128 near Craichie in Angus at around 3.05pm on Friday.

Police said the 61-year-old woman riding the black Yamaha motorcycle was taken to Ninewells Hospital in Dundee, where her condition is described as critical.

The driver of the car, a black Volkswagen Bora, was not injured.

Police are appealing for information about the collision as investigations continue.

Sergeant Brian McEwen said: “We are appealing for anyone who witnessed the crash, or has any information, to please come forward.

“We are particularly keen to speak with any motorists who may have dashcam footage from the area around the time of the crash.

“If you believe you can assist our inquiries, please call police on 101, quoting incident 2095 of 24 April.”
