A woman has died outside a police office in Aberdeenshire during the early hours of Monday morning.
Officers were made aware of a 62-year-old woman becoming unwell on Fraserburgh’s Finlayson Street at around 4.10am.
She was pronounced dead at the scene. A post-mortem is due to be carried out, however, detectives do not believe the incident is suspicious.
A report is due to be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 4.10am on Monday, March 16, 2026 police received a report of a woman having taken unwell outside the police office in Finlayson Street, Fraserburgh.
“Emergency services attended and a 62-year-old woman was pronounced dead at the scene.
“A Post Mortem examination will take place in due course to establish the exact cause of death which police are not treating as suspicious.
“A report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal.”
