A search has been launched for a young child after concerns were raised for her welfare on Sunday evening.

Police are appealing for the public’s assistance in tracing the girl who was last seen in the Fairmuir Park area of Dundee at around 7.20pm on Sunday October 9.

She is described as six or seven-years-old, 4ft 5in tall with long blonde hair and at the time was wearing leggings and a dark blue/black parka style jacket.

Sergeant Ryan Ducat said: “We are becoming increasingly concerned for this young female’s welfare and are keen to trace her as soon as possible. It may be that the female has returned home of her own accord, unaware that police are looking for her.

“If you have any information about her whereabouts, please contact police as soon as possible on 101 quoting incident 3009 of October 9, 2022.”
