The moment a tractor helped plough through snow in Aberdeenshire to help bring a newborn baby home has been captured on camera.
Baby Frank was born at Peterhead Community Hospital this week as heavy snow and ice caused days of disruption across the north of Scotland.
Roads were deemed impassable and driving conditions described as “dangerous” as a snowstorm hit, with communities in Aberdeenshire cut off.
But thanks to the efforts of farmers from Maud, baby Frank was given an escort home through blizzard conditions.
A video showed the tractor ploughing through the snow with the car carrying the newborn following behind.
Frank was the first baby born at the maternity unit in 2026.
