UPDATE: Both teenage girls reported missing from Aberdeenshire traced “safe and well”, say police.

Police are appealing for information to trace two teenage girls who disappeared from Aberdeenshire on the same day and may have “met up”.

Angel MacKinlay, 13, was last seen in the Slug Road area of Stonehaven at around 12.40pm on Thursday, May 2 and is believed to be within the region and the surrounding areas including the city of Aberdeen.

Angel is described as white, 5ft 4in, with a slim build and brown hair. She was last seen wearing black leggings, a beige ‘white fox’ hoodie, a black Nike jacket and black Nike trainers.

Officers believe the 13-year-old may have met up with Lucie Morgan, 14, also missing from Newtonhill in Stonehaven.

She was last seen on Thursday in the Crollshillock Place area around 2.30pm and is also believed to be within Aberdeenshire and the surrounding areas including the city of Aberdeen.

She is described as white, 5ft 3in, medium build, with dark red/black hair and was wearing black leggings, a black top and black Converse.

Police Constable Emily Campbell said: “Concern is growing for Lucie and Angel and we need to make sure they are safe and well.

“We are asking anyone who has seen them or knows where they might be to get in touch.”

Anyone with information on tracing the two girls is asked to call Police on 101, quoting incident number 1175 of May 2, 2024.
