Two charged in connection with firearms offences after street cordoned off

Two men aged 21 and 38 are due to appear in court on Tuesday following the incident in Aberdeenshire on Sunday.

Two men have been arrested and charged in connection with firearms offences following an incident in Aberdeenshire.

Police were called to Logie Road in Crimond on Sunday evening and a cordon was placed in the area.

Officers did not confirm the nature of the incident, however, they confirmed there was no wider risk to the public.

Two men, aged 21 and 38, have since been arrested and charged in connection with firearm offences.

The men are due to appear in court on Tuesday.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Two men – aged 21 and 38 – have been arrested and charged in connection with firearms offences, after officers were called to Logie Road in Crimond, around 6pm on Sunday, October 1, 2023.

“They are expected to appear at court on Tuesday, October 3, 2023.

“There was no wider risk to the public and officers will be in the area carrying out further enquiries.”
