Two men have been charged after armed police were called to a disturbance at a flat in Angus.

Emergency services were alerted to reports of an assault in a property on Warddykes Road in Arbroath at around 8.50am on Tuesday.

Police, Scottish Fire and Rescue Service and the Scottish Ambulance Service were all in attendance.

Officers charged two men aged 25 and 29 in connection with the incident.

The pair are due to appear at Dundee Sheriff Court on Wednesday.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 8.50am on Tuesday, August 26, 2025 police were called to a report of an assault and disturbance at a property in Warddykes Road. Arbroath. 

“Police, SFRS and SAS attended and two men aged 25 and 29 years were arrested and charged in connection with the incident.

“They are due to appear at Dundee Sheriff Court on Wednesday, August 27, 2025.

“A report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal.”
