A man has been hospitalised following an alleged stabbing near an industrial estate in Aberdeen.

Emergency crews responded to calls from concerned locals on Wellheads Avenue around 8pm on Saturday.

The 25-year-old was rushed to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary with serious injuries following the incident.

Police taped off the area for several hours while they completed their initial investigation and the road has now reopened.

A man, aged 23, and a woman, 21, have been charged in connection with the incident and are due to appear at Aberdeen Sheriff Court on Monday.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “We received a report of a serious assault at Wellheads Avenue, Aberdeen, around 8.05pm on Saturday, June 4.

“A 25-year-old man was taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary for treatment. 

“A 21-year-old woman and a 23-year-old man have been arrested and charged in connection and are due to appear at Aberdeen Sheriff Court on Monday, June 6.”
