Emergency crews have shut a stretch of road in Aberdeenshire following a crash involving two vehicles.

Road policing officers have diverted traffic away from the A92 at Bridge of Muchalls after the incident on Saturday afternoon.

Teams from both Police Scotland and the Scottish Ambulance Service remain on the scene after initially responding to the call at around 4.30pm.

It is currently unknown if there are injuries at this time.

A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: “Emergency services are in attendance at a two vehicle road crash on the A92 at Bridge of Muchalls, Newtonhill, Aberdeenshire.

“The crash happened around 4.30 pm on Saturday, July 30.

“We have no further details at this time.”
