Two 13-year-olds charged following fire at property

Two teenagers have been charged in connection with a fire at a derelict home in Dundee on Saturday, September 2.

Two 13-year-olds have been charged in connection with a blaze at a derelict home in Dundee.

The property, on Dundee Road West, went up in flames at around 7.20pm on Saturday, September 2.

No injuries were reported from the blaze.

Officers have confirmed that two teens, a boy and a girl both aged 13, have been charged in connection with the fire.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Two teenagers, a boy and a girl both aged 13, have been charged following a fire at a property on Dundee Road West in Dundee.

“The incident happened around 7.20pm on Saturday, September 2, 2023.

“The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service attended and extinguished the fire. No one was injured.

“A report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal and the Scottish Children’s Reporters Administration.”
