Tributes have been paid to a dad with a “heart of gold! who died after being hit by a bus near Toll of Birness.
Andrew Jackson died after being struck by a bus on the A952 at the A90 near Toll of Birness on October, 8.
The road was closed for around six hours to allow for crash investigations to be carried out.
The 45-year-old was taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary where he died on October 29.
Mr Jackson’s family released a statement via Police Scotland paying tribute to him.
“Andrew was a beloved partner to Andrea, an amazing dad to Ritchie and Andrew and a cherished son of Margaret and Eddie. Loved always and forever in our hearts,” they said.
“Andrew was a wonderful person with the biggest smile and a heart of gold. He was loved by all who knew him.”
Enquiries into the incident are ongoing and the force is urging anyone with information to come forward.
Road Policing sergeant Eoin Maxwell said: “Our thoughts are with Andrew’s family and friends at this difficult time.
“We ask anyone with information who has not yet spoken to police to please come forward.
“Anyone with information is asked to contact police on 101 quoting reference 1830 of October 8, 2024.”
