Three people were treated following a multi-car collision on the A96 near Forres.

Emergency services were called to the road, near Brodieshill, at around 5.25pm on Thursday after receiving reports of a three-car crash.

One vehicle was uplifted and three people were taken into the care of the Scottish Ambulance Service.

Their current condition is unknown at this stage.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 5.25pm on Thursday, March 16, we were called to a report of a three vehicle crash on the A96 near Brodieshill, Forres.

“One vehicle has been uplifted and the road is open.”

A Scottish Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: “We were called to assist emergency service partners on the A96, between Forres and Elgin at 5.31pm on Thursday, March 16, to reports of a road traffic collision involving three vehicles.

“Operations Control mobilised two appliances to the scene where crews worked to make the area safe.

“Three casualties were handed into the care of the Scottish Ambulance Service.

“Crews left at 5.47pm.”
