Two border collies were found unharmed but the vehicle they were in remains missing.

An investigation has been launched after a thief stole a farmer’s pick-up truck carrying two sheepdogs in Coupar Angus.

The vehicle was taken from the farm between 9am and 5pm on Sunday with the two border collies inside.

Fortunately, both dogs were recovered unharmed from the Fintry area of Dundee.

Police say detectives are still hunting for the Isuzu D-Max pick-up truck which has the registration plate ST15 WRT.

Officers are asking anyone who may have seen the car in or around Dundee, to call 101 using the incident reference 2932 of May 22.
