A teenager was taken to hospital after he was targeted in a racially motivated attack on Thursday.

Emergency services were called to the Annan Terrace area of Dundee at around 8.40pm following reports of a serious assault.

An 18-year-old was taken to hospital following the incident. No arrests have been made, however, an enquiry is ongoing.

Detectives believe there is a racial element to the attack.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 8.40pm on Thursday, April 10, 2025, police received a report of the serious assault of an 18-year-old man in the Annan Terrace area of Dundee.

“The man was taken to hospital for treatment and enquiries are ongoing.”
