A teenager has been charged in connection with an attack which left a man with serious facial injuries in Moray.
The incident occurred on Meadow Crescent in Elgin around 8.45pm on Friday.
A 24-year-old man was taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary for treatment to facial injuries, where he remains in a serious condition.
On Sunday, police confirmed a 17-year-old boy has been arrested and charged in connection with the incident.
The teenager is due to appear at Elgin Sheriff Court on Monday.
Police said enquiries into the incident remain ongoing and officers are following a positive line of enquiry.
