Police have charged a teenager who was found carrying a “nine-inch knife” on a bus in Dundee.
Officers acting on intelligence stopped and searched an 18-year-old man travelling on a bus in Seagate around 2.50pm on Saturday.
A nine-inch kitchen knife was found during the search.
The teenager was arrested and charged with possession of a knife.
He has since been released on an undertaking to appear in court at a later date.
A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: “Illegal possession of knives can cause serious harm. There is no excuse for carrying a knife in public.
“If you have any information regarding persons carrying weapons, please inform the police.”
