A 17-year-old boy has been arrested in connection with a serious sexual assault in a park.
An investigation was launched after reports a teenage girl was raped in the Duloch Park area of Dunfermline at around 10.40pm on Monday, February 6.
Police confirmed a 17-year-old male has now been arrested in connection with the assault on the 17-year-old girl.
Enquiries into the incident remain ongoing.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 10.40pm on Monday, February 5, 2024, police received a report of a serious sexual assault on a 17-year-old female youth in the Duloch Park area of Dunfermline.
“A 17-year-old male youth has been arrested in connection and enquiries are ongoing.”
