A teenager has been charged in connection with the death of a sheep in Aberdeen.

The incident occurred on June 10 in the Scotstown area in the north of the city.

STV News understands that a video of alleged incident has been widely shared on social media.

Police confirmed a male teenager had been charged in connection with the sheep’s death.

A police spokesperson said: “A 17-year-old male has been arrested and charged following the death of a sheep in the Scotstown Road area of Aberdeen on Wednesday, June 10, 2026.

“He was released on an undertaking to appear at court at a later date.

“Enquiries are ongoing.”
