A teenager was taken to hospital after the crash that saw three other motorbike riders flee the scene.

A teenager has been seriously injured in a crash involving four off-road motorbikes in Aberdeen.

Emergency services were called to North Anderson Drive near to Provost Fraser Drive around 4.45pm on Monday.

A teenager, who was riding one of the motorbikes, was taken to hospital for treatment of serious injuries.

The riders of the other motorbikes left the scene and the road was closed for over four hours.

Police have appealed for the other people involved to come forward.

Sergeant Pete Henderson, from North East Road Policing, said: “Enquiries are ongoing and we are appealing to anyone who witnessed the crash or has dash-cam footage of the area at the time to contact us.

“We would also ask the riders of the motorcycles that were involved in the incident to come forward to assist with the investigation.”
