Police are appealing to motorists for dash cam footage in a bid to trace a teenager who coughed in the face of a health care worker and told her he had coronavirus.

The incident took place on the unclassified road between Inchmarlo Golf Course to Brathens Wood in Banchory at around 1.40pm on Friday.

The woman was driving home after work when she seen the boy waving for her to stop.

When she pulled over he ran over to her car and coughed in her face before running off towards the woods.

Police are treating the incident as assault and have issued a description of the person responsible.
