Teen appears in court after 'fleeing police' before three-car crash

A teenager has appeared in court after allegedly fleeing police before being involved in a three-car crash in Dundee.

Emergency services were called to the collision involving a black Audi, a red Kia and a red Corsa at the roundabout on Whitfield Drive around 11.15am on Monday.

The Scottish Ambulance Service said three ambulances were sent to the scene and three patients were taken to Ninewells Hospital.

Kenzie Kirk appeared at Dundee Sheriff Court on Tuesday charged with road traffic offences, including causing serious injury by dangerous driving and failing to stop for police.

The 18-year-old was also charged with driving without a license, driving uninsured, and attempting to pervert the course of justice.

He made no plea and was committed for further examination and granted bail.
