A suspect has been arrested following the death of a man found injured on a street in Aberdeen.
Austin Ironside was discovered seriously injured on Skene Street around 3pm on August 3.
The 25-year-old was taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary, where he died days later.
Police Scotland said the death is being treated as suspicious following a post-mortem examination.
On Monday, officers confirmed a 46-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the death.
The force said the investigation remains ongoing, adding that officers are continuing to follow positive lines of enquiry.
In a statement released through Police Scotland, Austin’s family described him as “popular, with friends across the city, and would do anything to help others”.
“He was always smiling, and his infectious laugh brought light into the lives of everyone who knew him.
“We are all devastated by what has happened and would like privacy at this terrible time.”
