Police have launched an investigation after a man died suddenly within a house in Aberdeen.

Investigating officers are treating the 40-year-old’s death as unexplained.

The alarm was raised shortly after 11am on Sunday in Stewart Park Place.

Enquiries are ongoing.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 11.05am on Sunday, June 7, officers in Aberdeen were called to reports of the sudden death of a 40-year-old man within a property on Stewart Park Place.

“Enquires to establish the circumstances surrounding the death, which is currently being treated as unexplained, are ongoing. 

“A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.”
