A 32-year-old and a 36-year-old have been charged over the incident after a man was taken to hospital.

A street was locked down after two people were arrested and a man was taken to hospital following a “disturbance” in Aberdeen.

A 22-year-old was taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary with serious injuries following the incident on Balnagask Road in Aberdeen at around 7:30pm on Tuesday.

Police attended and a 32-year-old man and 36-year-old woman were both arrested in connection with the incident.

Police have said the victim is in a stable condition.

The street continued to be locked down on Wednesday morning as cops probed the incident.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “We were called around 7.30pm on Tuesday, 11 January, to a report of a disturbance in the Balnagask Road area of Aberdeen.

“A 22-year-old man sustained serious injuries and was taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary for treatment and is described as being in a stable condition.

“A 32-year-old man and a 36-year-old woman have been arrested and enquiries are continuing to establish the full circumstances.”
