A teenager has been arrested after a stolen car led police on a chase through Aberdeen before crashing.
A white Suzuki Swift was reported as stolen from the Springhill Terrace area around 7.45am on Friday.
The car, which had its back window smashed, was then driven throughout Aberdeen in an erratic manner at high speed.
The driver reportedly failed to stop for officers in the Cardens Knowe area and, following a pursuit, crashed on an unnamed road off the B9000 near Pitmedden.
The 17-year-old driver was taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary for treatment of minor injuries.
He was also arrested in connection with road traffic offences, and enquiries are ongoing.
Inspector Steve Manson said: “We are appealing to anyone that witnessed this vehicle prior to the crash to get in touch with police.
“Anyone with private CCTV or dashcam footage should check to see if they captured anything that could help with our enquiry.”
