Six vehicles including motorbikes and Maserati stolen during break-in at garage

An investigation has been launched after six vehicles, money, and keys were stolen from a garage in Alyth.

A premises on Cambridge Street was targeted around 5am on Saturday.

Three motorbikes, including a Yamaha XT 660, a Honda CB 500 and a Kymco CV3, were stolen, as well as a red Audi S3 car, a black Maserati car and a blue Ford Transit van.

A sum of cash and several sets of keys were taken.

Since the theft, the Maserati, the Yamaha and the Ford van have been recovered, having travelled from Alyth to Dundee.

Police are trying to track down the remaining vehicles and are appealing to anyone with information to assist.

Detective constable Bob Roger said: “We are carrying out a number of enquiries to trace those responsible for this incident.

“We know that some of the vehicles travelled to Dundee, where the Maserati and Ford were recovered, and we are continuing to establish the full circumstances of these thefts.

“I would appeal to anyone who may have been in the area and witnessed anything suspicious to contact us. In addition, anyone with any private CCTV or dash-cam footage is asked to get in touch as this may be able to assist.”
