iStockSeven vehicles have been “completely destroyed” after being set on fire at an industrial estate in Dumfries.
Officers were called to reports of seven vehicles being on fire at Catherinefield Industrial Estate around 3.55am on Monday.
No injuries were reported.
The fires are being treated as deliberate, and investigations are ongoing.
Detectives sergeant Grant Drennan said: “I would appeal to anyone who has any information regarding this incident to contact us. If you were in the area and have any dash cam then please check your footage as it could provide us with further details on who is responsible for this wilful fire-raising.
“Anyone with any information is asked to contact 101 quoting reference 0374 of Monday, June 23, 2025.
“Alternatively, please call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 where you can provide information anonymously.”
