A seven-month-old baby has died after being airlifted to a hospital in Aberdeen.
Emergency services were called to the Watson Crescent area of Peterhead in Aberdeenshire after receiving reports of the seven-month-old girl falling unwell at 6.35pm on Tuesday.
The infant was airlifted to Royal Aberdeen Children’s Hospital, where she died the next day.
Investigating officers are treating the death as unexplained at this time.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 6.35pm on Tuesday, October 15, 2024, officers received a report of a seven-month-old girl having taken unwell in the Watson Crescent area of Peterhead.
“Emergency services attended and the child was taken to hospital where she died on Wednesday, October 16, 2024.
“The death is unexplained and a report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.”
