A second suspect has appeared in court charged with the murder of a man in Aberdeen.

Austin Ironside was discovered seriously injured on Skene Street on August 3.

The 25-year-old was taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary, where he died days later.

Police Scotland said the death was being treated as suspicious following a post-mortem examination.

Shaun Lerche appeared at Aberdeen Sheriff Court on Friday, where he was charged with murder and robbery in connection with the incident.

The 34-year-old from Aberdeen made no plea and was remanded in custody.

He is due to appear in court again within the next eight days.

A 46-year-old man also appeared at Aberdeen Sheriff Court on Thursday, charged with murder and robbery.

Scott Adams made no plea and was committed for further examination and remanded in custody.

He is due to appear in court again within the next eight days.
