iStockA search has been launched after a man was seen wielding a weapon in Dundee.
Emergency services were called to the Kirk Street area of the city after the alarm was raised at around 2.50pm on Sunday.
Police officers conducted extensive enquiries; however, they were unable to locate the individual.
Detectives will investigate any new information that comes to light.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 2.50pm on Sunday, June 21, 2026, we received a report of a man potentially in possession of a weapon in the Kirk Street area of Dundee.
“Officers attended and extensive enquiries were carried out however no-one was traced in connection.
“Any further information received in relation to the incident will be fully investigated.”
