Rail passengers travelling in the north are facing disruption as engineers inspect a section of the track near Kintore.
ScotRail said that services between Inverness, Inverurie and Aberdeen may be cancelled or revised until the inspection is carried out.
The rail provider said that ticket acceptance is in place with Stagecoach North buses between Aberdeen and Inverness.
As a result of the issue, Inverurie – Montrose services will start and terminate at Aberdeen and Aberdeen – Inverurie services will be suspended.
Customers are urged to check their journeys on the app or website for the latest information.
Network Rail engineers are on site and carrying out an assessment.
Network Rail said: “Engineers have been dispatched to inspect a section of the track between Dyce and Kintore.
“Until this has been carried out, trains are unable to run through this section.”
