Roads have been closed near an Aberdeen roundabout after a woman was struck by a vehicle.

Emergency services were called to Canal Street at around 9.40am on Thursday following reports of a collision.

A female pedestrian has been taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary for treatment.

Following the collision, officers shut roads at Mounthooly roundabout to King Street.

An investigation is ongoing and drivers have been urged to avoid the area.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 9.40am on Thursday, 6 February, 2025, we received a report of a crash involving a female pedestrian and vehicle at Canal Street, Aberdeen.

“The pedestrian has been taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary for treatment. There are road round closures in place at Mounthooly roundabout to King Street.

“Enquiries are ongoing and motorists are asked to avoid the area.”
