A road in Moray will be closed for a police reconstruction as part of the investigation into the death of a man whose body was found near a quarry.
Officers said the A941 between the B9135 and Inchbroom Road in Lossiemouth will be closed from 7pm on Friday for around an hour to carry out the reconstruction.
The body of John Geddes was discovered near the A941 close to the Sunbank Quarry entrance around 4.10pm on November 17.
The 33-year-old was last seen in the Coulardhill area of Lossiemouth around 10.30pm on November 11 before he was reported missing by his family on November 12.
A large-scale search operation was launched into his disappearance involving mountain rescue teams and police dogs.
His cause of death is still to be confirmed, but police believe he may have been struck by a car.
The vehicle and driver have been traced, and investigations are continuing.
A Police Scotland statement on Friday said: “The A941 between the B9135 and Inchbroom Road, Lossiemouth, will be closed from 7pm tonight to allow for a reconstruction to be carried out.
