An investigation has been launched after a teenage girl was raped in Dunfermline.
Officers received reports of a serious sexual assault that happened around 10.40pm on Monday.
The incident involving the 17-year-old girl happened in the Duloch Park area of Dunfermline.
Police confirmed that investigations into the attack are at an early stage.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 10.40pm on Monday, February 5, 2024, police received a report of a serious sexual assault on a 17-year-old female youth in the Duloch Park area of Dunfermline.
“Enquiries are at an early stage.”
