Rape investigation launched after person attacked at hostel

Police have launched an investigation after a person was raped in a Dundee hostel.

Officers were called to Dundee Backpackers Hostel on the city’s High Street at around 5am on Sunday.

A statement said they are following a “positive line of enquiry”.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 5am on Sunday, November 30, officers received a report of a serious sexual assault on High Street, Dundee.

“Officers are following a positive line of enquiry.”
