A private school teacher in Aberdeen has been arrested after an alleged “online communications offence”.
Police confirmed a 23-year-old man was taken into custody in connection with the incident on Wednesday.
Robert Gordon’s College launched an internal investigation and said it was aware of a video circulating on social media.
The private school, which charges senior school fees of £18,000 per year, said the temporary staff member had been suspended.
A spokesperson for Robert Gordon’s College said: “The school is aware of a video circulating on social media. The temporary staff member involved has been suspended.
“This is now a matter for Police Scotland and it would be inappropriate for the school to comment any further.”
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “On Wednesday, February 26, 2025 a 23-year-old man from Aberdeen was arrested in connection with an online communications offence.
“Enquiries are ongoing.”
