Police in Aberdeenshire have confirmed that two children who were reported to have gone missing overnight have been found safe and well.
On Monday, police issued an appeal for information to trace 11-year-old Mercedes Mia Scott and 12-year-old Kyeron Rees Polden who were missing from the Stonehaven area of Aberdeenshire.
The two children had last been seen on the town’s High Street.
Officers have confirmed that both have been found “safe and well” and thanked members of the public for their assistance following the appeal.
