Police patrols have been stepped up after a report that horses were pelted with projectiles by a group of youths in Aberdeen.

At around 4.20pm on Sunday, police were called to a field near Craigton Road, Cults.

Officers found no trace of the youths and said the horses were uninjured but that there would be more police out on patrol.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 4:20pm on Sunday, April 18, 2021, police received a report of a group of youths throwing items at horses in a field near Craigton Road.

“Officers attended and there was no trace of the youths. The horses were uninjured.

“As a result of this incident additional officers will be patrolling the area.”
