Police seek motorcyclist who struck pedestrian in Aberdeen before speeding off Google Maps

A motorcyclist who struck a pedestrian in Aberdeen before speeding off is being sought by police.

Officers were called to the Auchinyell Road shortly after 3pm following the collision that left a man requiring hospital treatment.

The bike is said to have collided with the man, who was crossing the road, but its rider got back on the saddle and drove off.

He was taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary for treatment on minor injuries.

Police Scotland have since launched an appeal to trace the rider responsible.

“We were called around 3.10pm on Saturday, April 1, to a report of a crash on Auchinyell Road, Aberdeen, involving a motorbike and a pedestrian,” a spokesperson for the force said.

“Emergency services attended and a man, the pedestrian, was taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary with minor injuries.

“Enquiries are ongoing to trace the motorcyclist who made off.”
