Police are searching for the driver of a red Vauxhall Astra who came to the assistance of the victim.

Police are searching for a driver who came to the aid of a man who was attacked by a gang in Alloa.

A 29-year-old man was robbed and assaulted as he walked near a bus shelter in Shillinghill around 8.45pm on Monday, August 12.

The group of males have been described as all wearing dark clothing with one said to be wearing a bright pink hooded top.

The victim didn’t require medical treatment.

Police are searching for the driver of a red Vauxhall Astra who came to the man’s assistance.

Detective Constable Chris Smith at CID said: “This appears to have been a shockingly unprovoked and random attack.

“We’re asking for anyone who witnessed the incident or has any information to please come forward.

“If you believe you could help our enquiries, call 101 quoting reference 3976 of August 12, 2024.

“Alternatively, you can call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111, if you wish to remain anonymous.”
