Local library broken into and damaged, police say

Officers have appealed for witnesses who may have been in the area at the time.

Police Scotland says local Moray library broken into and damaged Google Maps

A library in Moray has been broken into and damaged, police have said.

The break-in happened at Buckie Library on Cluny Place at around 2.30pm on Saturday.

Police Scotland said nothing was taken but the premises was damaged.

Constable Ross Carmichael said: “Our enquiries are ongoing and I am appealing for anyone who witnessed anything which may assist to contact us.

“I would also ask anyone who was in the area and may have dash cam footage or private CCTV which could assist us to get in touch.”

Anyone with any information is asked to contact 101 quoting incident number 0439 of March 11.
