Police remain at the scene of a house four days on from the “unexplained” death of a man in Moray.

Emergency services were called to reports of concern for a man at Spynie Place in Lossiemouth at around 2.15pm on Saturday.

The 48-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police remain at the property as enquiries remain ongoing.

A spokesperson said: “Around 2.15pm on Saturday, May 2, 2026, we were called to a report of concern for a man at an address on Spynie Place in Lossiemouth.

“Emergency services attended however the 48-year-old man was pronounced dead. His family is aware.

“The death is being treated as unexplained and enquiries are ongoing. A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.”
