Almost 70 ducks have been killed and a further 30 injured on a farm in Moray, sparking a police probe.

The incident occurred at around 4am on Monday, September 12, after two dogs entered a shed at Mayne Farm in Elgin.

Officers said that 69 ducks had been killed and another 30 injured.

Sergeant Michael Irwine said: “Our enquiries into this incident are ongoing and I would urge anyone with information to get in touch.

“Anyone with information should contact police on 101 quoting reference number 2869 of September 12, or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
