Police have made an arrest after an axe-wielding robber made off with money, alcohol and tobacco from an Angus shop.
The armed robbery happened at a store on Ponderlaw Street, Arbroath, at around 6am on Saturday, July 18.
Nobody was injured as a result of the incident.
A 29-year-old man has now been arrested and charged in connection with the robbery and is due to appear at Dundee Sheriff Court on Thursday.
A full report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal.
