Police ScotlandPolice have launched an investigation following the death of a woman at a property in Ellon.
Emergency services were called to a house on Blench Drive near the town centre on Monday, August 31.
Officers were responding to reports for a concern for person.
A 50-year-old woman was pronounced dead at the scene.
STV News understands police and forensics have been at the scene since Monday, with officers making door-to-door enquiries.
The woman’s death is being treated as “unexplained”.
A spokesperson said: “On Monday, 31 August, 2026, we were called to a report of concern for a woman in a property on Blench Drive, Ellon.
“The 50-year-old woman was pronounced dead at the scene.
“Enquiries are continuing and the death is being treated as unexplained.”
