Police investigation launched after body of woman found on beach

The body of a woman has been found on a beach in Aberdeen.

Police confirmed the body was discovered around 6.40am on Saturday, October 19 on the beach in the Donmouth Road area of the city.

The death is currently being treated as unexplained but further enquiries are pending.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 6.40am on Saturday 19 October, 2024, officers were made aware that the body of a woman was found on the beach in the Donmouth Road area of Aberdeen.

“The death is being treated as unexplained and enquiries are ongoing.”
