A police investigation has been launched after a lighter was thrown at a Hearts player during a match in Dundee.
The item was thrown from the George Fox stand at Tannadice Stadium around 4.40pm during the game between Dundee United and Hearts on Sunday.
The player was not injured.
Police have appealed for anyone who witnessed the incident to come forward.
Constable Matthew Boath said: “This was an unacceptable and reckless act that could have resulted in injury.
“Our enquiries are ongoing into this incident, and I am asking anyone who was at the game or who saw what happened to get in touch with us.”
