Police are growing “increasingly concerned” for a woman missing from Aberdeenshire.

Valerie Morrison, 78, was last seen at around 4.30pm on Thursday, in the Biresmore area of Aboyne.

She is described as white, around 5ft 1in tall, of slim build, with light brown/auburn hair and sometimes wears glasses.

When last seen, she was wearing a green shirt and dark blue or black jeans.

Sergeant Garry Garrow said: “We are becoming increasingly concerned for Valerie’s welfare and would urge anyone who may have seen her, or has any information on her whereabouts, to contact police.

“Local officers are carrying out extensive enquiries to trace her.

“I would ask that anyone who believes they may have seen Valerie, or who has any other information, contacts us on 101, quoting reference 2712 of Thursday, August 18, 2022.”
