Police appeal for witnesses after break-in at retail park store

The incident occurred during the early hours of Thursday morning.

Police are appealing to the public for information following a break in to a retail premises in Moray.

The incident happened sometime between midnight and 2.50am on Thursday at Springfield Retail Park on Edgar Road in Elgin on Thursday, June 2.

Officers searched the premises but believe that one or two suspects ran from the area upon their arrival.

It is not known at this stage whether anything was stolen.

They are now appealing for anyone with information or CCTV footage to come forward.

Detective Constable Scott Mackay said: “We’re appealing to anyone with any information on this break-in, or possible CCTV footage from the nearby area, to please come forward.

“Any little piece of information could prove useful as we conduct our enquiries.”
