Police are hunting for a masked man who exposed himself to a woman on a footpath in St Andrews.

The woman was walking on the Lade Brae footpath near Hepburn Gardens and Cockshaugh Park around 6pm on Tuesday when the incident unfolded.

The man is described as white, around 5ft 7ins and of slim build.

He was wearing a black jacket, dark-coloured trousers, and a black or grey beanie hat.

He also wore sunglasses and covered his lower face with a snood.

Police are urging anyone who may have seen the man to come forward.

Inspector Helen Manuel said: “We are continuing our enquiries to trace the man responsible and would appeal to anyone who may have seen this man or who has any information which may assist our investigation to make contact.

“We would also urge anyone who was in this area on Tuesday evening who has dash-cam or any personal footage to please review it and get in touch if it holds anything relevant.

“Anyone with information is asked to contact the police on 101, quoting reference 2866 of July 21. Alternatively, call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
